Mitsubishi Teams Up with BF///MS for a Tougher Triton Pickup in Brazil

Mitsubishi has partnered with Brazilian off-road lifestyle community BF///MS to launch a tougher, darker version of the Triton pickup truck. Short for Big Foot and Mato Grosso do Sul—the state where the partnership originated—the BF///MS edition skips the chrome look of the agribusiness-focused Triton Terra introduced earlier this year in favor of a scruffier, rugged aesthetic.

Visually, the new special edition stands out with a Baroque Brown main paint shade combined with Onyx Pearl Black on the lower bodywork. The front grille and mirror caps are finished in black, while the Dynamic Shield front end and fender extensions match the primary body color. The truck rides on 20-inch wheels with a dark diamond-cut finish wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac rough-terrain tires. Additional exterior hardware includes power-retractable side steps, a soft tonneau cover, a bed storage box, a 12-volt outlet in the bed, and a tow hitch. Distinctive BF///MS badges are affixed to the doors and tailgate.

Inside the cabin, the truck features brown and black leather upholstery highlighted by orange stitching. The BF///MS logo is displayed on the dashboard, accompanied by a horse emblem embroidered directly into the seats. That same horse logo is also projected onto the pavement via the truck's puddle lights.

Based on the flagship Triton Katana trim level, the BF///MS comes generously equipped. Standard features include a 9-inch infotainment screen, navigation, a 360-degree camera system, a premium JBL audio setup, dual-zone climate control, rubber floor mats, seven airbags, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Underneath the dark exterior, the mechanical package remains unchanged. The Triton is powered by a twin-turbo 2.4-liter diesel engine delivering 202 hp (151 kW / 205 PS) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque. Output is routed to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and Mitsubishi's Super Select II 4WD system, which features a locking rear differential and seven terrain-specific drive modes.

The Mitsubishi Triton BF///MS is available exclusively in Brazil on a built-to-order basis with no fixed production cap. The special edition carries a standard retail price of R$ 359,990 ($71,200), though a promotional discount currently lowers the price to R$ 339,990 ($67,200). That promotional positioning makes it less expensive than the limited-production Triton Terra, which debuted at R$ 364,990 ($71,200).
